Our client, a multi-billion dollar materials manufacturer for commercial and consumer products, is seeking a Capital Projects Engineer to join their team responsible for one of the most critical components that allows our client to manufacture their industry leading products.

Required Education/Experience:

• Undergraduate degree in engineering discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience as in project engineering or project management in an industrial chemical manufacturing environment
• Experience managing full lifecycle of project with budgets up to 1 million
• Directly influence design, operational preparations, vedor construction management, cost, and project deadline tracking by providing appropriate leadership and technical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with operations, process, and maintenance staff throughout project lifecycle
• Proficient with 2D CAD application for drafting/project design

Preferred Education/Experience:

• Undergraduate in Chemical Engineering with 3+ years of direct experience managing capital projects in a refinery, petro-chemical, or relevant heavy industrial distillation process
• Advanced proficiency troubleshooting piping, pressure vessel, and rotating equipment used in continuous high heat distillation chemical processes
• Experience working with blow still oxidation processes
• PMP certification, formal project management training, or proven PM skills through application
• Well versed in process hazard analysis and process safety management
