A company in the Chicago area is looking for a Logistics Manager to join their team. The general purpose of this position is to oversee the production and operation of the Shipping and Receiving Department to assure that operations are conducted efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

* Hire and monitor performance of all shipping and receiving employees.

* Process all orders into picking tickets for shipping personnel.

* Generate bills of ladings with lot code information for shipments.

* Schedule and track all outgoing truck shipments.

* Schedule and track all incoming receiving shipments.

* Coordinate proper receiving procedure and storage of all raw materials, packaging, and plant materials.

* Responsible for storage of all finished goods.

* Inventory and cycle count all finished goods.

* Process and enter all receipts and returns into inventory system.

* Work directly with customer service when satisfying customer orders and arrival timing.

* Work directly with production managers regarding customer finished goods needs.

* Control and determine outside warehousing needs.

* Responsible for all power lift truck equipment.

Desired Traits:

-5 years of experience in the Food Manufacturing industry

-5+ years of shipping and receiving experience

-Working knowledge of inventory software systems
