DSW Homes is seeking an experienced, reliable and results-oriented Permit Coordinator to augment its growing company. The Permit Coordinator reports to the Program Manager. Candidate should be self-motivated, detail oriented, able to multi-task with advanced problem-solving techniques, proficient in communication skills with timely follow up, uphold high value for customer service relationships and exemplify integrity, passion, and professionalism. Essential Functions including but not limited to:
· Interact professionally with co-workers, suppliers, subcontractors and customers.
· Answer phones and direct clients to the proper person.
· Offer administrative support to the Production Manager and others on the management team as needed.
· Expedite building permits and expedite utility disconnections and re-connections.
· Scan and file documentation.
· Maintain both digital and hard copies.
· Work independently and within a team environment on special projects as needed.
· Update production schedules on Internet based software.
· Keep office stocked with all needed materials and supplies.
· Assist customers and clients
Education and Skill Requirements:
Required – 2 years expediting permits
College education is preferred but not required
Previous experience in residential construction is preferred but not required
Must have working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be attentive to details and willing to learn
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
