TRC Talent seeks a long-term contract Calibration Tech for a leading manufacturer in the aviation space. Position is fully onsite in San Jose.
Monitor and maintain the calibration database for all locations
Manage schedules and relationship with Calibration suppliers to ensure timely responses to calibration requests
Develop procedures, as required, to perform routine calibration of precision measurement instruments, including but not limited to gauges, sensors, pressure testers, torque wrenches, and other related tools in-house
Ensure all new purchased equipment and instruments are properly documented and cataloged within the Calibration database
Ensure instruments conform to national and international standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, FAA, or other relevant bodies)
What you need
High School Diploma or equivalent required
3+ years’ experience as a Calibration Technician, ideally within the aerospace, manufacturing, or engineering industries
Ability to work within a team environment
Bonus qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 standards
Familiarity with Devonway
Familiarity with gage repeatability & reproducibility evaluations
Familiarity with statistical process analysis
Experience with SAP
