Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architect with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep technical skills in Cloud Dataproc and Cloud Dataflow, with a preference for those with experience in the Automotive Industry. This hybrid role requires working in a day shift with no travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud-based solutions using Cloud Dataproc and Cloud Dataflow.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to ensure standard processes are followed.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of data processing pipelines to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high-quality code standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum availability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all implemented solutions to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and align technical solutions with organizational goals.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Optimize cloud resource usage to achieve cost-effective solutions without compromising performance.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and decision-making processes to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Automotive Industry domain experts to tailor solutions that meet specific industry requirements.

Position Qualifications:

  • Required skills:
  • Possess strong technical skills in Cloud Dataproc and Cloud Dataflow.
  • Have a minimum of 8 years+ years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Show proficiency in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
  • Have a track record of successfully leading technical projects.
  • Be familiar with data security and compliance standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Have experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
  • Be thorough and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Show a proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the Automotive Industry is a plus

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $70,000- $117,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
