Our client, Encore Auctions , is looking for a Senior Manager of Operations to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of key functions, including strategic planning, financial management, team leadership, process optimization and risk management. What You Will Do


As the Senior Manager of Operations you will oversee and enhance operational processes. Reporting to the CEO, you will work collaboratively across departments to drive operational excellence aligned with the Encore’s strategic goals. This will include:


  • Developing strategies to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase productivity while leveraging new systems and technologies.
  • Overseeing operational budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Managing daily operations, ensuring the seamless flow of products from receipt to customer delivery.
  • Leading, mentoring and coaching a team of 2 to 3 direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Partnering with senior leaders to align operations with company objectives and ensuring smooth cross-functional communication.
  • Driving compliance with industry regulations, expertly managing operational risks, and developing resilient business continuity plans.
  • Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational success and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Elevating customer satisfaction through seamless product delivery, outstanding service quality, and proactive customer support.


What We’re Looking For


To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a mix of skills, experience, and attributes that set you apart:


  • A bachelor’s degree in business , supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within an e-commerce or auction business.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing small teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of implementing process improvements .
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and operational software .
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
