Construction Coordinator - Underground Stations

Webuild has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line and we are currently seeking a Construction Coordinator

This position is a full-time 100% onsite position at our downtown office.

Position Summary:

• Must be follow up on all construction activities, assigned to the role, related to the stations and for ensuring Dev Co’s compliance with respect to all Construction Activities applicable to the stations under the Agreement and assigned to the responsibility of the position.
• Responsible for initiating and requesting the procurement department to contract the necessary agreements and supply chains for the development of the station works, this includes creating the scope of works and sending them to the procurement department.
• Provides overall contract administration, technical expertise, and support to specific areas of the SSE (Stations)
• Understands client drivers and offers value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefit.
• Tracking of progress billing, cost reports, inventory, and quantity tracking of each subcontractor assigned.
• Negotiates and issues subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments and monitors their progress and schedule, regarding assigned subcontractors.
• Understands, communicates, and enforces the contract documents for the assigned subcontractors.
• Sketches, and scope of work documentation to meet Ontario standards.
• Identifies and manages risks and opportunities on scope of assigned subcontractor.
• To manage all the information coming from assigned subcontractor and prepare production, labor, machinery reports for effective work control.
• Monitors progress of the design, including compliance issues, quality, general coordination, constructability, and timing of deliverables.
• Prepare all work plans and staging drawings related to the assigned scope of work and track all the documents sent for obtaining construction permits.

What you will bring:

• 3-5 years of technical engineering skills in construction or infrastructure large projects.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related engineering field experience required
• Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate, expressing requirements and expectations to a wide range of individuals.
• Knowledge of project management tools like Microsoft Project /Gantt chart planning tools
• Successful experience in forming strong and collaborative relationships with clients and internal team members across a broad geographical reach.
