We are looking for a Systems Engineer who will provide system administration expertise for all system components and software to effectively support Fundserv’s Azure Cloud, Linux and Solaris servers in a hybrid DevOps environment.

In this role, you will…
- Develop, implement, and manage tools, scripts, and code to standardize and automate operational processes and tasks, with expertise in DevOps practices, YAML configuration, synthetic JavaScript monitoring, and Ansible automation programming.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure build, provisioning and patching automation utilizing orchestration and configuration management tools to ensure efficient and reliable infrastructure operations. Ie) Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Red Hat Satellite.
- Understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation.
- Support all core system software, microservices, and API including Azure Kubernetes Service, APIM, Confluent Cloud Kafka, application servers and middleware components.
- Work closely with application development teams in an Agile environment to build, operate, and support CI/CD pipelines, while also assisting developers with troubleshooting performance issues and optimization tuning.
- Monitor and log system performance and reliability to ensure maximum uptime for critical applications.
- Create/Review/Update procedural and support documentation.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.
Why you are the person we’re looking for…
You’ve demonstrated the ability to do the following, gained through education and/or experience:
- Manage, maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure in hybrid environments, including Azure Cloud, Red Hat Linux, and Solaris platforms.
- Manage container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes.
- Operate application and infrastructure monitoring/logging tools such as New Relic.
- Create alert monitoring, dashboard and write JavaScript for synthetic monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps teams utilizing a strong understanding of DevOps processes and tools.
- Independently manage your time, ensuring project deadlines are met within an agile environment.
- Participate in rotating 24 x 7 on-call support.
The following is not required but will be a bonus:
- Confluent Certified Administrator for Apache Kafka
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
