Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Power BI Developer to join our team in Toronto. This role involves leveraging Power BI to deliver data-driven insights, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the seamless migration and integration of data across multiple channels.
Responsibilities:
- Power BI Development:
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
- Build scalable and interactive visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.
- Data Migration and Integration:
- Execute the migration of data from legacy systems to new environments while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with middleware teams to manage and optimize data pipelines.
- Multi-Channel Data Expertise:
- Work with data from diverse channels, ensuring seamless integration and analysis.
- Identify opportunities for unifying data across platforms to provide comprehensive insights.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, middleware teams, and technical experts to gather and translate requirements into actionable solutions.
- Ensure effective communication of project progress, challenges, and deliverables.
- Performance Optimization:
- Implement best practices for data modelling, DAX calculations, and report performance tuning.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Experience: 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and data analytics.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
- Experience with data migration, transformation, and cleansing.
- Familiarity with middleware technologies and data pipelines.
- Data Expertise: Understanding of multi-channel data sources and integration techniques.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
- Previous experience working in a hybrid model and collaborating with remote teams.
This role follows a hybrid model based in Toronto , requiring candidates to be available for both in-office and remote work as needed.
