About the job:
Odoo is seeking a Junior Accountant with a strong focus on Accounts Payable (AP) to join our dynamic Finance team. This role involves managing high-volume transaction processing, including vendor invoices, payment batches, and reconciliation tasks. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while fostering strong relationships with vendors and internal teams. As a key contributor to the Finance team, you will be essential in maintaining operational efficiency and financial accuracy in a fast-growing, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process high volumes of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely approvals and payments.
- Review customer sales orders, post invoices, and reconcile incoming payments to maintain accurate records.
- Address and resolve inquiries related to invoices, payments, and transactions from internal teams and external stakeholders promptly and professionally.
- Onboard new vendors, verify details, process invoices, and manage payment batches while maintaining strong relationships with vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Audit contracts and financial documentation to facilitate approval processes and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Perform accurate month-end closing tasks, including account reconciliations, payment processor reporting, and preparation of journal entries.
- Evaluate and enhance monthly controls and workflows by leveraging tools like Excel and ERP systems and collaborating with internal teams to address issues and drive improvements.
- Proactively manage aged payable and receivable balances by reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience in high-volume accounting operations or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate level: VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, pulling reports, etc.), Google Suite, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP principles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple requests, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment and work independently as needed.
- Willingness to adapt, learn, and grow in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or Odoo, particularly in high-volume environments.
- Previous experience handling accounts payable or receivable in a high-volume setting.
- Familiarity with account reconciliation, month-end closing processes, and process improvement initiatives.
- Prior experience in an accounting firm or internal corporate accounting environment.

The estimated annual compensation range for this role is $70,000-$80,000. Please note that actual salaries may vary within, above, or below this range based on factors such as education, training, experience, professional achievement, business needs, and location.
