We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the functionality and efficiency of our production machinery and equipment. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, knowledge of safety protocols, and a commitment to keeping our operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field, with a proven track record in a similar role.

Responsibilities

1. Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
2. Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial machines and equipment.
3. Troubleshoot and repair faulty machinery and equipment, including chillers, hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems.
4. Read and interpret schematics to diagnose and resolve issues.
5. Operate and maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to manage and report on maintenance tasks.
6. Perform MIG welding tasks as part of equipment repair and maintenance.
7. Utilize VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) technology in the maintenance and repair of machinery.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
9. Provide technical support and guidance to production staff as needed.
10. Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives to remain updated on industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance technician role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with chillers, hydraulic systems, schematics, CMMS, repair, MIG, maintenance, welding, conveyor systems, and VFD.
3. Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment.
4. Excellent knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in the manufacturing industry.
5. Proficient in MIG welding.
6. Ability to read and interpret schematics.
7. Experience with CMMS.
8. Familiarity with VFD technology.
9. Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance and support to team members.
10. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development initiatives.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. High school diploma or equivalent required; further technical education or certification is a plus.
