We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer for our direct client to support code, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines for a SaaS application.

Must be a US Citizen.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in DevSecOps tools, Docker, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization and orchestration, AWS Cloud, Python, Ansible and Terraform. They should also excel in programming and scripting with strong expertise in troubleshooting, collaboration, mentoring, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities:

• Defines, implements, and documents continuous integration or continuous deployment following best practices
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet overall objectives
• Participate in estimating development effort, designing approach, and identifying risks
• Identify and implements process improvement opportunities
• Solves difficult problems with scripting language across multiple environments
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually
• Evaluates tools, technologies, and processes to improve speed, efficiency, and scalability for continuous integration.
• Act as a mentor to application developers on best practices, processes, and techniques for building scalable and secured applications
• Ability to absorb rapidly new technical information and apply it effectively
• Provides assistance to developers to increase speed-to-market and product quality
• Works across multiple platforms and applications to understand dependencies

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in automation, testing, and troubleshooting is essential.
• Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and source control platforms such as GitLab.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Ubuntu-based containers, Kubernetes, and EKS.
• Strong experience in AWS, Python, API development, Bash scripting, Ansible, and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Experience in configuration management using Ansible.
• Experience with code quality and security tools like SonarQube, Nexus Lifecycle, and Contrast Security Protect.
• Proficiency in operating systems such as Linux, Ubuntu, and Microsoft Windows.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Agile tools like Jira, Rally, and Jira Align.

Preferred Skills:

• Masters in computer Science or a technical degree is preferred.
• Familiarity with binary/artifact repositories like Nexus
