Job Description

Job Title: Test Technician

Location: Redmond, WA (5 days onsite)

Duration: 9-month contract to potential hire

Pay Rate: $25-28 an hour - W2

Openings: 10

Interview Process: One and Done


Shift Times:

Front Half:

Sun – Wed – 1st shift: 7am – 530

Sun – Wed – 2nd shift: 4pm – 2:30am

Back Half:

Wed – Sat – 1st shift: 7am – 530

Wed – Sat – 2nd shift: 4pm – 2:30am


Required Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years of experience working with a manufacturing or Production environment
  2. Strong understanding of optics, photonics, and laser principles (familiar)
  3. Proficiency in using various test equipment such as optical power meters, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
  4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
  6. Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Associate's degree in Photonics, Laser Technology, Electronics, or a related field
  2. Certification in laser safety
  3. Experience with fiber optic systems
  4. Familiarity with quality control processes and standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
  5. Knowledge of data analysis software and basic programming skills

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  2. Visual acuity to work with small components and read detailed measurements
  3. Manual dexterity for handling delicate optical components

Work Environment:

  1. Clean room or laboratory setting
  2. May involve working with Class 3B and Class 4 lasers under controlled conditions
