Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead the development of ergonomic requirements and align with global counterparts

• Support the setting of vehicle level requirements to optimize ergonomic performance (e.g reach, access, intuitiveness, and first-time ease of use)

• Conduct research (e.g. benchmarking, literature, user testing, virtual analysis etc.) to provide recommendations and develop requirements for user experience and ergonomic interfaces

• Interact with cross-functional teams to understand limitations to designs and work to overcome roadblocks

• Track issues to support future development of ergonomic requirements


Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Ergonomics, Human Factors, Physiology, Biomechanics, Human Kinetics, Psychology, Cognitive systems or related field from an ABET accredited program

• Proficient with CAD

3 or more years of relevant engineering automotive experience


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in automotive, design or ergonomic related fields

• Prior experience with customer interfaces incorporating increasingly new technology

• Prior experience with HMI & ergonomic specifications and functional objectives

• Familiar CAD Human Modeling tools

• Exhibits excellent, clear, and detail-oriented written and verbal communications on highly complex topics

• Good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines amongst changing vehicle designs
