Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for an Equipment Design Technician III to join our Illinois Equipment Plant based in Flora, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and pneumatic designs and PLC/HMI programming. NAL will provide relocation assistance to anyone outside of the Southern Illinois area.
Your Priorities
While working within the fast paced, automotive environment, you will work with the Equipment Build group to develop machine PLC programming including ladder logic, Mitsubishi, and Keyence
Responsible for tool assembly and the set up and debugging of equipment
R & D all customer and internal specified new technology to be able to successfully implement into equipment via setup and programing
Assist Design Department with electrical and pneumatic specifications
Perform small machining to allow for design changes and wire tooling and/or electrical panel per prints
Provide technical support for continuous improvement of production equipment and processes
Your Background
AS in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline or a High School Diploma plus 5 or more years of related experience
Strong knowledge of PLC programming, PC Controls programing, and robotic programing (Mitsubishi preferred)
Technical and Mechanical skills
Advanced ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic blueprints
Salary Range: $65,000- $75,000
