Our client a global specialist in energy management and automation is looking for an Safety Engineer to join their team in Oxford, OH ! This is an onsite position and starts as a 1–2-year contract opportunity!

This Safety Engineer will help lead and promote a SAFE first culture by leading job safety analysis and hazard assessments. You will be ensuring the facility is in compliance with safety and environment programs, regulations and company policy. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, confident, professional that wants to join a team environment in a company with a strong safety and sustainable development culture.

*** This is a 1-2 year contract Position*** (possibility of extension)

Hours: ( Monday - Thursday): 5pm – 3am or (Mon-Thursday): 12pm-10pm

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution.
• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in safety & environmental or engineering role.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft office and general databases/web based applications.
• Knowledge of ISO 14000 & OHSAS standards.
• Facilitate ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Ability and willingness to train large groups of people.
• Ability to manage projects with on time delivery.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and OH DEP regulations.
• Accident investigation experience.
• Familiar with job safety analysis process.
• Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed organization through developing good working relationships and holding others accountable.
• Work with the safety manager to create training programs, train associates, supervisors and employees in the areas of general safety.
