Job Title: Sr. Wind Technician – Hiring FAST!
Location: Rio Grande, TX
Pay Rate: $27-34/HR on W2 Only – NO C2C
Setting: Onsite Required (Hybrid/Remote is NOT an Option)
Duration: 12+ months.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of directly related work experience as a Wind Technician; or minimum of 6 years of technical work related experience.
- Must have demonstrated ability and be fully qualified in a minimum of (2) JPMs, (Turbine Technician -2 and Electrical Operator- 2) at a Level (4), this is an appointed position and requires a Managers Recommendation.
- Valid driver's license
- The ability to climb turbine towers (up to 300ft) daily is a requirement of this position.
Responsibilities:
- 60%, Operations and Maintenance of Wind Fleet
- Leads and trains crews of technicians to complete required duties.
- Trains and mentors employees as directed by managers
- Acts as a subject matter expert on specific technology or equipment
- Reviews, writes, and provides one level of approval for technical procedures as directed by manager.
- Participates in root cause analysis as directed by manager.
- Participates in technology specific group meetings.
- Diagnose and resolve faults on turbines as they relate to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in a timely manner.
- Develop equipment specific Energy Isolation instructions as directed by manager.
- Small or large corrective tasks
- Work as scheduled during the week and on call as needed or required by manager

- EH&S Documentation
- Complete necessary paperwork (work order, timesheet, tool and PPE inventory, and additional paperwork as necessary)
- 10%, Add 'I Support for Sites
- Willing to travel and assist other Company facilities when needed.
- 10%, Assisting Management
- Assist management (as needed) with vendor contractual obligations and activities, land owner agreements, and ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations.
