Objective
This position provides the necessary link between design engineering and technical operations for launching new products in NA.
Essential Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient and cost effective manufacturing systems to support new product launch.
- Support quoting activities for new business by providing the manufacturing cost estimates for new products.
- Support prototype builds by ensuring the prototype manufacturing systems are ready.
- Review program timing and design changes. Communicate pertinent information to the members of the technical operations team
- Capture lessons learned from the prototype builds and publish for review.
- Develop specifications for equipment needed to build the new products. Work with internal and external vendors to reduce capital expenditure.
- Execute the gate review process to ensure a successful and on-time launch.
- Develop process flow, PFMEA, Standard Operation & Combination Sheets for new products
- Compile information and create presentation to request project funding
Experience 1-3 years
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills, be highly organized and be responsible for actions.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once with changing priorities
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings
- Strong PC skills – proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, Power Point.
- Project management skills recommended
