Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Shifts:
- 1st Shift – Mon–Fri, 6am-2pm
- 2nd Shift – Mon–Fri, 2pm-10pm
Job Overview:
Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician with a passion for electrical systems? We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team in Trenton, NJ . As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and keeping our production environment running efficiently and safely.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure Safety: Identify electrical hazards and safely isolate circuits and electrical apparatus for repairs. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) to safeguard against arc flash and shock.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and maintain motor control centers, generators, high voltage switchgear, and more. Work with 240V and 480V three-phase systems, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
- Blueprint Mastery: Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and manuals to install, calibrate, and maintain electrical systems.
- System Maintenance: Install and maintain control systems like PLCs, drive systems (variable frequency, eddy current, DC), and instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level controls.
- Precision Testing: Use advanced electrical testing equipment (multi-meters, ammeters, oscilloscopes) to diagnose and repair electrical systems.
- Hands-On Repair & Installation: Install and maintain electrical conduit, wiring, control panels, switches, relays, circuit breakers, and more.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain continuity with work teams, ensuring smooth communication of actions, issues, and needs.
- Safe & Clean Environment: Keep the work area safe and clean by following all safety procedures and regulations.
- Training & Mentorship: Participate in training line mechanics and apprentices, sharing your expertise to foster skill development.
- Data Management: Use computerized maintenance systems to track and input information, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Design, layout, and set up complex control systems, interpret engineering drawings and diagrams, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Repair or replace faulty electrical equipment, including control systems, meters, outlets, and small mechanical devices like motors.
- Continuously observe installed systems to detect potential hazards and recommend improvements or adjustments.
