The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll be a key player in designing, building, and scaling our TypeScript-based micro-services. This role offers flexibility to specialize in OCR , RPA , or LLM integration , depending on your interests and expertise. You’ll collaborate across teams, solve complex technical challenges, and directly contribute to the transformation of an entire industry.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and develop scalable TypeScript micro-services powering XILO's platform.
• Implement advanced features in one or more focus areas:
• - OCR : Enhance document digitization and data extraction pipelines.
• - RPA : Build bots to automate repetitive tasks and drive efficiency.
• - LLMs : Design and optimize workflows for AI-driven customer interactions.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, frontend, data science) to deliver seamless integrations.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
• Implement best practices for API security, data privacy, and maintainability.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience, with expertise in TypeScript/Node.js .
• Deep understanding of micro-services architecture and cloud-based deployment (AWS, Heroku).
• Proven experience with scalable API design and database optimization.
• Expertise in one or more areas: OCR (e.g., Azure Form Recognizer) , RPA tools , or LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI) .
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• A collaborative mindset with a willingness to mentor and learn from others.
