Job Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Supplier Specialist oversees the quality metrics for Campero suppliers. This role includes assessing supplier performance, developing, and executing action plans, following up on customer complaints, detecting and correcting reported deviations, and preparing weekly supplier reports. The Specialist plays a crucial role in establishing, maintaining, and enhancing quality assurance and food safety programs to ensure that Campero's standards of quality and service are consistently met across the entire supply chain.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree and applied equivalent in Food Science, Chemistry, Business, Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum two years of Food Safety, QA/QC experience in the Food & Beverage Industry, focusing on food production performance enhancement, continuous improvement & vendor certification programs.
  • Having knowledge and certification of HACCP Concepts and quality systems is a must.
  • ServSafe® Certified or equivalent
  • Previous experience in quality assurance or similar field
  • This position requires travel up to 70% of the time and requires a flexible schedule.


Key Responsabilities:


  • Responsible for managing the supplier certification & continuous improvement program.
  • Responsible for periodic quality assessments to suppliers, ensuring all Campero standards are met and providing an action plan and training to ensure all gaps are closed if needed.
  • Works closely with R&D and Supply Chain to ensure vendors deliver on the flavor profiles. Collaborate with the R&D and Supply Chain to onboard new suppliers.
  • Perform unannounced vendor and supplier audits to ensure all raw materials and processes follow Campero standards.
  • Prepares and implements quality assurance policies and protocols with vendors.
  • Responsible for staying current with all local and federal regulations in all states we operate.
