Design Engineer

Location: Ft. Wayne, IN

Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 (Depending on Experience)

Our client is seeking a dedicated Design Engineer to join their Ft. Wayne, IN office, leading design tasks for a variety of infrastructure projects. The Ft. Wayne office is known for its commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions in bridge design, urban and county roadways, streetscapes, and public works projects for municipalities, counties, and academic institutions. This team provides a collaborative environment for engineers looking to grow their skills and make a meaningful impact in local communities.


Responsibilities

  • Lead design tasks, including project calculations, report preparation, roadway modeling, and planning.
  • Assist in preparing proposal documents and conducting preliminary project evaluations.
  • Coordinate tasks, reporting to the project manager to assist in tracking budgets, schedules, and project progress.
  • Support teams in the Indianapolis and regional offices on various infrastructure projects.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with other firms and public agencies to aid in project coordination.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) in Indiana.
  • Experience in transportation project design for INDOT, county, or municipal projects.
  • Proficiency in ACAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Bentley Open Roads Designer, StormCAD, CDSS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
