Job Description:

• The position is for an onsite Quality Inspector.
• The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards.
• This role involves conducting inspections, verifying documentation, and maintaining accurate records for incoming and outgoing parts and products.
• The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality control, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other functions.
• This role will support Receiving Inspection San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections of incoming materials and outgoing shipments
• Interpret and adhere to quality standards, specifications, and procedures
• Use measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions and quality
• Document inspection results and maintain detailed records
• Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes
• Perform administrative tasks associated with file management and material control
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality

Required Skill Sets:

• Previous inspection experience

• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, tools, and techniques
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organization
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• SAP and Microsoft Office Experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Years of Experience Required (if any):

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

Education Level Required:

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
