DescriptionnnREQUIRED: CDL A or B, Passenger P Certification and a clean driving recordnnPAY RATE: $19.00 to $20.00 hourlynnSCHEDULE: Monday to FridaynnJOB SUMMARY:nnResponsible for the safe transport of staff and residents/patients. Ensures prompt arrival and departure times to and from facility to designation location as requested.nnESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:nn• Coordinates driving schedule with facility social worker or facility designeenn• Coordinates the availability of the bus and arranges for supervision of residents as necessary if family is not available for resident/patient appointmentnn• Maintains a daily log of all trips on trip sheet located in facility van/bus and submits at the end of the month to the Administratornn• Submits monthly mileage logs to Administratornn• Maintains van/mechanical operations and ensure cleanliness of van/bus • Completes a daily Van/bus checklistnn• Reports and corrects any and all safety concerns or violationsnn• Assists in general maintenance duties including but not limited to: Clean-up of all areas of the building as requested. Manages routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space and parking lot. Assists with non-routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of equipment, assists with generator testing, fire drills, sharps container inspections, water temperature testing. Performs and/or assists with the work of carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, plastering, mechanical and electrical work within the facility. Operates power and hand tools such as drills, saws, lathes, grinders, sanders, cutters, crimpers and hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, saws, shovels, snow blower and other miscellaneous tools. Checks daily building, grounds and facilities for damage, malfunctions, etc. Monitors all safety hazards and takes remedial action to ensure correction. Ensures that walkways, parking lots, and common areas are free of snow, properly salted, and properly lighted. Maintains grounds, cuts grass, picks up branches, garbage, cleans drains, erects and repairs fencing, trims bushes. Responsible for all inside and outside building and grounds repairs.
