Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our Wholesale Delivery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of freight.
Duties

• Operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and tankers for the delivery of freight.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Drive long distances to deliver goods to designated locations, ensuring timely arrival.
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling techniques as necessary.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all safety protocols while driving, including the use of seat belts and compliance with weight limits.
• Manage paperwork related to shipments, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Experience in driving various types of trucks such as delivery trucks, tanker trucks, or dump trucks is a plus.
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be endorsed for manual transmissions.
