Syndeo Staffing is searching for the right person to join a family-owned ag-fertilizer supply company as a CDL Driver in El Dorado, KS. This is a direct hire opportunity.

CDL drivers are responsible for delivering freight safely and promptly while obeying all Federal and State Department of Transportation regulations and laws regarding operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle. Drivers must be able to reliably commute to and from El Dorado, KS, and travel 100% of the time.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
n
Pay: $18-$22 / hour BOE
n
Duties & Responsibilities:
n
n- Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck and/or flatbed.
n- Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely and accurate manner.
n- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or heavy machinery.
n- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
n- Comply with all DOT and FMCSA regulations while driving.
n- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition.
n- Safe handling of hazardous materials and equipment used on the job.
n- Communicate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and pick-ups.
n- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery/pick-up times.
n- Perform routine basic preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment as needed.
n- Comply with ICC and DOT regulations.
n- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
n
Education/Certification:
n
n- High school diploma or equivalent required
n- Must be a minimum of 21 years old at the time of employment due to Interstate regulations
n- Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License
n- Must have or be willing and able to obtain a tanker endorsement
n- Must have a clean driving record, that is, no DUI's and no more than 3 moving violations in the previous 5 years

Required Knowledge:

n- Strong knowledge and experience with Federal and State Department of Transportation laws and regulations
n- Proven experience as a Truck Driver
n

n- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and a drug screen and possess a valid medical certification

Working Conditions:
n
OTR, regional, and local pick-ups and delivery. This will often mean extended time away from home, including overnight and frequent weekends.
