CDL A or B Driver Wilkes Barre, PA · Transportation/Logistics Apply NownnJOB TITLE: CDL DrivernnJOB TYPEnnFull TimennJOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIESnnPerform daily routes depending on the weekly schedule determined by manager.nnOperate a CDL trailer to deliver commercial tires/wheels as well as other items to customers.nnMust maintain a safe and clean driving record.nnResponsible for executing client delivery schedules, proper loading and unloading, and obtaining signed paperwork to provide to Snider branches, etc.nnResponsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment inventory levels on tractor-trailer and on person.nnMaintain an ELD (Electronic Logging Device) detailing the hours traveled, rest periods, miles/distance covered, verifying logs weekly, and reporting any errors to the Branch Manager for correction, as well as fuel, repair, toll, and/or other expenses.nnEffectively communicate any traffic violations, accidents, breakdowns, or delays in route to management and customers.nnConduct pre and post trip inspections, to ensure that all mechanical systems are operating properly.nnReview orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the changes are correct.nnMaintain safe procedures while operating a company vehicle.nnMust follow and comply with all DOT regulations.nnAssist in loading and unloading the product on the trucks.nnEnsures deliveries are timely.nnAdheres to McCarthy Tire Service policies and standards.nnMust have excellent driving aptitude for both manual and automatic vehicles.nnLearn and maintain all PM’s and ensure daily performance check on vehicle.nnAlways home daily.nnOTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESnnOther duties can and will arise, and the candidate should be prepared to take on these challenges openly.nnEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEnnHigh School degree or GED.nnREQUIREMENTSnnAt least 1 year of delivery driving experience within the last 3 years.nnClass A or B license, depending on class of vehicle.nnValid driver’s license.nnMust have clean MVR, Drug Test, and pass the DOT physical.nnFlexibility in schedule.nnMinimum 18 years of age.nnLift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.nnWORK AUTHORIZATIONnnUnited States (Required)nnWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.
