Job Description: Locum - Emergency Medicine Physician
Location: Ashland, KY

Shift Hours:
- 12-hour shifts: 7a-7p, 10a-10p, 2p-2a, 7p-7a
- Must be open to working days, nights, and weekends.
On Call Requirements: No
Key Responsibilities
- Emergency Medicine Coverage:
- Provide emergency care in a busy ED with an annual volume of 65,000 visits.
- Scribes will assist physicians in documentation.
- Collaborate with specialty backup (except for Ophthalmology, OMFS, and hand surgery).
- New ED under construction with 75 exam rooms
- Additional 10-bed overflow unit available.
Facility Overview
- Emergency Department Volume: 65,000 annual visits
- EMR: Epic
- Cath Lab: 24-hour service
- Specialty Backup: Available (except Ophthalmology, OMFS, and hand surgery).
Requirements
- Active Kentucky License required (IMLC with Letter of Qualification accepted).
- Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM ONLY, with completed EM residency).
- Must have a clean background and claims history (documentation required).
