Job Title: Family Medicine OB
Location: Garden City, KS
Shift Type: 24-Hour Shift (7a-7a)
Weekend & On-Call: Required
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Duties:
- Provide care for obstetric and gynecology patients, including new obstetrics, established obstetrics, gynecology issues, and surgical consultations.
- Perform FMOB procedures, including more than 5 C-sections and 5 hysterectomies in the last 24 months.
- Manage 24-hour call shifts, covering all obstetric emergencies and gynecological cases.
- Conduct non-emergent surgeries during surgical blocks twice per week.
- Facility and Support:
- Work in a clinic setting during weekdays; provide inpatient call coverage.
- Collaborate with a team of CRNAs and midwives for patient care.
- Support staff includes Lab Techs, LPN/LVNs, MAs, X-ray Techs, and RNs.
- Utilize EPIC as the EMR system.
- Specialty Requirements:
- Required to have a minimum of 100 C-sections and 50 vaginal deliveries in the last 24 months.
- Must be proficient in all OB/GYN procedures.
Schedule & Availability
- Shifts: 24-hour shifts from 7a to 7a.
- Dates Currently Open:
- Jan 24-28, Mar 1-8, Mar 17-27, Apr 2-12, Apr 17-30, May 1-3, May 13-22, June 9-12, June 17-19, June 24-27, July 7-24, July 29-Aug 3, Aug 4-31, Sept 1-4, Sept 9-25, Ongoing 2025.
- Minimum Commitment: At least 7 days/month.
Compensation
- Daily Rate: $3200 for a 24-hour shift.
Requirements
- Licensing:
- Active Kansas Medical License
- DEA Certification required
- Must be enrolled in the Kansas Health Care Stabilization Fund
- Certification:
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 0-5 years of residency completion).
- Active BLS Certification.
- Clean malpractice history (preferred).
- Experience:
- 50 C-sections, 50 vaginal deliveries, with at least 20 of each in the last 12 months.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR (training required prior to start date).
Facility Details
- Beds: 10-bed unit with 16-25 outpatient clinic visits and 3-6 inpatient admissions daily.
- NICU: Level 2, staffed with neonatal nurse practitioners and tele-neonatologist support.
- Support: Access to general surgeons, urologists, critical care physicians, and cardiologists.
