The Microsoft Threat Intelligence Center (MSTIC) is recruiting experienced nation-state threat hunters – with highly honed threat intelligence analysis skills. MSTIC provides unique insight on threats to protect Microsoft and our customers and is responsible for delivering timely threat intelligence across our product and services teams.nnMicrosoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.nnAdditional or Preferred Qualificationsnn6+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, and/or anomaly detectionnnOR Doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related fieldnnExperience producing actionable Threat Intelligence on advanced persistent threat actors (APTs)nnExperience tracking APT campaigns using industry standard models including the MITRE ATT&CK frameworknnProven ability to document and communicate your analytic findings to a wide range of stakeholders ranging from technical colleagues and executive readersnnExperience collaborating within the wider Threat intelligence community and working within threat intelligence sharing groups Experience working to support incident response investigationsnnSecurity Research IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.nnCertain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
