Vaco is hiring an IT Systems Administrator for a full-time opportunity in Port Clinton, OH or Mason, OH. 
***This role requires candidates to be local as regular onsite work is required***

nThe IT Systems Administrator will use extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to maintain and enhance our server infrastructure as well as create and maintain application code. This includes overseeing servers, firewalls and VM platforms. The IT Systems Administrator will develop and maintain web-based applications and other customer software programs.

nResponsibilities:
nServe as a systems administrator for IT servers and services.
nMonitor system performance and utilization.
nInstall, configure, and upgrade servers and applications.
nTrack vulnerabilities and apply appropriate patches and upgrades.
nGenerate statistics for operational review and planning.
nWriting, testing, and implementing code for new/existing programs on multiple systems in the company.
nDevelop in-house tools specifically designed for the organization and/or their clients. 
nAbility to debug problems caused by hardware, operating system software, application programs, or network failures.
nIdentify and correct coding errors to improve performance.
nProvide desktop support for end users iPad, Laptops, Printers etc.

nQualifications:
nExperience in the telecommunications industry is highly desirable and considered a strong asset.
nStrong Linux administration experience.
nWindows administration experience.
nDatabase administration experience Oracle, MS SQL, Mongo,
nMySQL and others.
nVirtual environment administration : VMWare, Proxmox, VirtualBox, Kubernetes and others
nAbility to troubleshoot systems and API’s
nExperience in Pega environment( Not required but nice to have)
nAzure, Office 365, Intune, AWS

nEducation and Experience:
nAssociate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or university; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
