Position Title Programmer/Announcer
Job Description Maintains the day-to-day programming of the University's radio station; formulates the music formats; and supervises student assistants in on-air and production duties.
Essential Job Functions:
- Programs/maintains digital automation system.
- Generates music schedules/logs input for automation system.
- Loads/edits sports news broadcasts.
- Produces underwriter spots, jingles, and other recorded material.
- Instructs and monitors students' air shifts.
- Catalogs music.
- Conducting interviews for various shows.
- Assist students in Mass Communication courses with equipment usage.
- Continue to review music for inappropriate content and entries.
- Record voice tracks for daily programming.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication or related field with at least two years of experience in broadcast medial - on-air talent and production
- Working knowledge of the equipment associated with the day-to-day operations
- Ability to develop music formats to be aired at the station
- Working knowledge of the automated system
- Skills to produce live events or other recorded materials
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
