Position Summary This position provides administrative support services in coordinating office operations, inventory support for the shop/garage facility, procedures for the business and provide accounts payable support for the company.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
Assists in the support activities performed by office, sales, garage and manufacturing work units within Overland Sand & Gravel and Ready Mixed, which includes office administration, implementation of procedures, and accounting functions and inventory support for the shop/garage facility.
Receives invoices, verifies, codes and sends Accounts Payable invoices for approval and payment.
Reviews inventoried items to determine if material on hand balances with Lawson inventory and transmits changes according to established timelines.
Initiates purchase orders, as necessary, and verify and receive aggregate purchase orders of company purchases.
Provides customer support services by answering incoming telephone calls, determining purpose of calls, and forwarding calls to appropriate personnel. Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable. Assists staff in projects that require additional assistance.
Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
Assists with accounts receivable, credit, insurance and special projects, as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience - High School education or equivalent GED, related advanced certification or degree preferred; and
- six months related experience and/or training in Accounting; or
- an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations - Valid NE Drivers' license
Other Qualifications - Must have ability to apply concepts of basic accounting with excellent numerical skills and a high degree of attention to detail with ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Must be flexible in work assignments and coverage requirements as well as be able to meet the demands of a small office, which includes maintaining a good attendance record and a willingness to learn due to the support role of this position.
- Must have excellent collaborative skills the ability to learn the office duties and be cross trained in other roles.
- Must be highly organized and able to produce high quality, accurate work while coordinating a business environment.
