Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated
Press Electrician to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for the troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair, and replacement of electrical components on stamping presses and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical systems, including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) logic, and be able to read and troubleshoot PLC programs. Experience with press equipment, conveyors, coil feeders, and straighteners is essential. In addition to supporting press operations, the Press Electrician will assist with electrical projects and provide support to Maintenance Mechanics as needed.
Key Responsibilities: - Press Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical components of stamping presses and associated equipment (e.g., conveyors, coil feeders, straighteners).
- Troubleshooting & Repairs : Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues on equipment, including PLC logic, wiring, motors, sensors, and other electrical components. Resolve faults in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance : Conduct preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on electrical systems to ensure continuous optimal performance of presses and related equipment.
- PLC Programming & Troubleshooting : Read and interpret PLC programs. Perform troubleshooting and repairs on PLC-controlled systems to ensure proper machine functionality.
- Electrical Projects : Assist in various electrical projects across the facility, including installations, upgrades, and system improvements. Ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.
- Collaboration : Work closely with Maintenance Mechanics and other team members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment. Provide electrical expertise to assist with mechanical issues when necessary.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used. Document electrical system issues, solutions, and improvements for future reference.
- Safety : Ensure that all electrical work is conducted in compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and electrical code requirements. Promote a safe work environment at all times.
Requirements: - Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing or heavy equipment environment.
- Education/Training : Certification in Industrial Electronics or related field is preferred. Robotics training is a plus.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and diagrams, troubleshooting electrical systems, and working with PLCs. Experience with robotics and automation systems is a plus.
- Physical Requirements : Must be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position, including lifting heavy components, working at heights, and using tools and equipment safely.
- Problem-Solving Abilities : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Safety Conscious : Knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements in industrial environments.
- Communication : Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and report issues clearly.
Shifts: - Y Shift : 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Z Shift : 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
