Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CVOR) to support our client’s medical facility in Texas and other locations. This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!


Job Summary:

As a Surgical Technologist in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) , you will assist in cardiovascular surgeries by ensuring the sterile field is maintained, preparing instruments and equipment, and supporting the surgical team. You will be responsible for anticipating the needs of the surgeons and nurses, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available, and assisting with patient positioning. Your role includes prepping patients for surgery, maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols, and assisting with wound closure. This position requires specialized knowledge in cardiovascular procedures and a keen ability to act quickly and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment for cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during surgery.
  • Maintain the sterile field and ensure all necessary tools are readily available.
  • Position patients on the operating table according to the surgeon's instructions.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and team, ensuring smooth surgical procedures.
  • Monitor patient safety and assist with wound closure and dressing post-surgery.


Qualifications:

  • BLS certification required.
  • Active Surgical Technologist certification required
  • 1 year of CVOR experience required
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and stress management skills.

  • Location: Texas and other locations
  • Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract
  • Shifts: 12 hour day shift
  • Weekly Pay: $1400-$1600 (Travel pay) $1200-1400 (local pay)
