Position Overview
As Group Sales Manager, you will lead efforts to secure and grow group business, focusing on corporate, association, and social segments. You’ll leverage your expertise to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure group experiences exceed client expectations—all while contributing to the continued legacy of the Biltmore.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to secure group business from corporate, association, and social markets.
- Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential group clients through research, networking, and proactive outreach.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, planners, and organizations.
- Contract Negotiation: Draft and negotiate contracts that align client needs with hotel revenue goals.
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, including catering, banquets, and operations, to deliver seamless group events and stays.
- Revenue Maximization: Achieve or exceed group sales revenue goals through effective selling and upselling techniques.
- Market Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to maintain a competitive edge.
- Local Engagement: Foster relationships with local businesses and organizations to position the Biltmore as the go-to venue for group events.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in group sales, event planning, or related roles in the hospitality industry
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with sales systems and tools, such as CRM and property management software.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple accounts and events simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the Los Angeles market is preferred.
