Role: Security Engineer

Location: Fort Belvoir, VA

Work model: Hybrid - Fulltime

Salary: $150,000 - $190,000

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE

Must haves:

• Serve as an independent and objective assessor, certifying aggregate cybersecurity risk for recommendations to the SCA.
• Provide expertise in assisting federal agencies with managing risks for both on-premises and cloud-based information systems in alignment with the RMF.
• Perform security control validation and technical assessments to address known threats and vulnerabilities within systems and networks.
• Evaluate impacts and identify existing risk mitigation strategies during security assessments.
• Validate and assess security controls following NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI-1253, and the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Conduct vulnerability analyses to support risk mitigation and determine residual risks.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of NIST and CNSSI publications related to RMF and security controls for national security systems (NSS) and non-NSS systems.
• Exhibit a strong understanding of the DoD RMF, DoD IA policies, and the NIST 800 series standards.
