We are seeking a talented Assistant Pastry Chef with a background in fine dining who is passionate about creating extraordinary desserts and exceeding guest expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-end pastry kitchen and a genuine ability to collaborate with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. As a key member of our culinary team, you will help maintain the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship while delivering an unforgettable dining experience.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Taste and ensure excellence in every pastry creation.
  • Plan, prep, and provide quality service for all pastry kitchen production.
  • Build and organize prep lists, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Guide and mentor Pastry Cooks, stepping in as supervisor when needed.
  • Support Pastry Chef in developing creative menus and new pastry items.
  • Assist with inventory management and department ordering.
  • Follow established recipes and plating guides for consistency and quality.
  • Maintain a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in excellent condition.
  • Complete mise en place to the satisfaction of the Executive and Pastry Chefs.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff.
  • Rotate products in the walk-in cooler to ensure freshness.
  • Adhere to sanitation and health regulations.
  • Work efficiently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism.
  • Adjust recipes as needed, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.


Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in pastry preparation.
  • Culinary school degree preferred but not required.
  • Cake decorating skills required
  • Sanitation Certificate required.
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, coworkers, and management.
  • Basic math skills necessary for recipe scaling and inventory management.
