Position Overview

Aker is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Marketing to lead marketing efforts across our portfolio of multifamily rental and condo communities, as well as the Aker brand. This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving top-of-funnel traffic, enhancing brand presence, and implementing high-impact marketing initiatives across all channels. The ideal candidate is a multifamily marketing expert with a proven track record of analyzing data, driving engagement, and deeply understanding prospective residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to support leasing and sales goals for all properties and promote the Aker brand.
  • SEO and PPC Campaigns: Lead digital marketing initiatives, including search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns, and other performance marketing strategies.
  • Social Media Management: Oversee all social media accounts to ensure alignment with brand standards and maximize audience engagement.
  • Website Development and Maintenance: Own the creation, updates, and performance of all property and corporate websites to ensure optimal user experience and functionality.
  • Branding and Collateral: Implement brand improvements, develop marketing collateral, and support on-site teams with tailored tools and resources.
  • ILS and Google My Business Management: Manage Internet Listing Service (ILS) contracts, listings, and Google My Business accounts to optimize visibility and lead generation.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Use analytics tools to measure campaign performance, track KPIs, and inform data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Work closely with on-site teams, leasing agents, and executives to align marketing strategies with operational goals and explore innovative approaches to multifamily marketing.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in multifamily marketing, ideally with an owner/operator with a focus on marketing residential properties.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, and social media management.
  • Strong track record of developing and managing marketing campaigns that deliver measurable results.
  • Proficient in marketing analytics tools, property management systems, and website content management systems (CMS).
  • Deep familiarity with multifamily marketing tools, including ILS platforms and Google My Business.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, think strategically, and add value from the start.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
