We are looking for an experienced Private Label Manager to help us manage and develop our private label product lines. Job Overview:

The Private Label Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, sourcing, and production of our private label products. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure the successful launch and growth of private label products. You’ll manage the entire lifecycle of the product, from concept through to production and market launch, ensuring that each product aligns with the company’s standards for quality, cost, and brand integrity. In addition, you’ll play a key role in expanding our private label customer base and driving new business opportunities.


Responsibilities:

  • Product Development & Sourcing : Lead the development of private label products, from concept and design to production and launch. Work with internal design and production teams to ensure products meet quality standards and align with market trends. Identify and negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and products, ensuring cost-effective pricing, quality, and timely delivery. Manage the private label product development timeline, ensuring deadlines are met and milestones are achieved.
  • Private Label Customer Acquisition : Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the private label customer base, including reaching out to potential clients in relevant industries. Develop and deliver compelling pitches to new private label customers, highlighting the value and customization options of our product offerings. Build and maintain long-term relationships with private label clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create tailored proposals and strategies for attracting new clients.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Management : Collaborate with supply chain and inventory teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure a smooth flow of goods. Monitor sales performance and product success, making adjustments to production and supply chain strategies as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure alignment between product development, branding, and customer acquisition strategies. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure private label products meet consumer needs and fit within the overall brand strategy.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in private label management, product development, or sourcing, preferably within retail or consumer goods.
  • Proven experience in acquiring new private label customers, including pitching and managing B2B relationships.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle, sourcing, vendor management, and customization for private label clients.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer performance to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for vendor management, client acquisition, and internal collaboration.
  • Based in the tristate area and can work in person at least 3 days per week.
