Job Description

We have a start-up company in San Francisco Bay Area seeking a strong Marketing Coordinator to join their organization for a 1-year contract role.


This role could be contract to hire for the right person!


Client is targeting candidates living in the Bay Area or in California, Oregon or Arizona.


Position would be 100% remote but ideally would be able to fly to the SF Bay Area once a quarter for meetings.


Pay is $35-$43/hr


Key experience needed:

  • Brand and creating marking hands-on experience ideally within a start-up
  • NPI marketing experience and strategy
  • Social media posting and analytics (Prior experience in the paid social media space required)
  • Ability to create media posts with little support
  • Self starter
  • Data driven marketing results
  • Positive can-do attitude


This is NOT a senior role but supporting 2 Directors within a start-up marketing team.


Ideal candidate has experience with consumer products or Smart Home Tech products


About the role:

We’re looking for a dynamic, self-driven, full-time Marketing Coordinator to join our team on an annual contract basis. Key Responsibilities:


Social Media Management:

  • Assist with the day-to-day execution of organic and paid social media strategies across platforms (Meta, Pinterest, Google, etc.).
  • Facilitate social content creation and distribution for product launches, promotions, and other marketing initiatives to promote the brand across all social channels.
  • Monitor, analyze, and share read outs on campaign performance to ensure strategic KPI goals are met.
  • Oversee social community comments, DM’s, questions, reviews and respond in a timely manner, aligning with key stakeholders on the best responses.
  • Support influencer marketing efforts pre and post-campaign, identifying the right partners and ensuring high quality content.


Creative Content Execution:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging content for various channels (email, web, social, etc.).
  • Track, organize, edit, test, and proofread marketing materials to deliver a high quality brand experience.
  • Manage the content and creative treatment of all marketing initiatives to reflect the direction and priority of messaging in an engaging and compelling manner by channel.
  • Identify opportunities for user-generated content and influencer partnerships to amplify reach across platforms.
  • Improve creative processes and workflows by ensuring content is well-organized and easily accessible to internal and external stakeholders.


Data-Driven Marketing:

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics across marketing initiatives.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness by platform.
  • Report on performance to internal stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for improvement weekly.


Collaboration & Communication:

  • Communicate effectively across teams through slack, email, and video calls to ensure smooth execution of projects and campaigns.
  • Partner with sales and customer support teams to align marketing initiatives to business goals highlighting platform nuances when planning.
  • Support the marketing team by ensuring all deadlines are met.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of marketing experience, preferably in a startup environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the smart home category and associated marketing tactics with an emphasis on digital marketing.


Skills:

  • Proven experience managing organic and paid social media campaigns.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance marketing metrics.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Notion, Adobe Suite, etc.).
  • Positive attitude with a solution-oriented and execution-driven mindset.
  • Autonomous and self-motivated, capable of driving initiatives with minimal oversight.
  • Strong communicator with excellent collaboration skills.
