Luna Park in Coney Island, the world’s most iconic amusement park, is seeking a visionary Director of Sales and Marketing to revolutionize our sales and marketing short and long-range business strategy. With a keen eye on future expansion opportunities, our DOSM will have the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with our executive leadership team to create, influence and execute the strategic direction of Luna Park and future amusement parks! The DOSM will be responsible for developing creative marketing and sales campaigns, implementing innovative selling and advertising strategies, and using data analysis to continually grow and increase company revenues. Additionally, the DOSM will lead and develop our Sales and Marketing teams working on-site at Luna Park.
We are seeking an individual who has high level, strategic sales and marketing experience with a track record for growing company visibility and company revenues. Career experience in the hospitality, tourism, or entertainment industries is preferred. Knowledge of the New York City tourism market is a plus.

POSITION: Director of Sales and Marketing
LOCATION: CAI Corporate Offices, 49 Fanny Road, Boonton, NJ 07005
WORK SCHEDULE: On-site in high season (March to December) and hybrid/remote option (three (3) days in office and two (2) days home) outside of high season (January and February)
- One (1) weekly trip to Luna Park in Coney Island during high season.
- Physical Presence for main events – Opening Day, Donation Day, Memorial Day, Mermaid Parade, Coney Island Cyclone Birthday, First Friday Night of Fireworks at the end of June, Fourth of July, Labor Day, first day of Halloween event, first day of Winter Holiday event, and any other major Company events, e.g., opening ceremony of new attractions, sites, parks, etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute innovative sales programs and comprehensive marketing plans that meet and exceed “attendance” in the park and “sales” annual goals
- Analyze and communicate results and trends of sales-based market research
- Provide insight to the management team in regards to market penetration, attendance planning, pricing strategies
- Assist management team in business development, budget preparation, and sales forecasting
- Create and execute marketing campaigns for all sales programs to ensure the exceeding of goals
- Execute and manage marketing functions such as social media, digital, advertising media buying, promotions, direct mail, online, PR and collateral development
- On a timely basis, provide periodic marketing activities and sales status reports in relation to previous years and budget. Presenting corrective actions if needed to achieve sales goals
- Lead Sales and Marketing teams through proper training, goal setting, delegation of tasks, and ongoing communication of park and Company strategies as well as professional development
- Ongoing in-field coaching and evaluation of staff to ensure maximum productivity, maximizing sales performance and Sales departmental goals and objectives are achieved
- Provide on-going monitoring, evaluation and reporting of departmental expenses to ensure maximum ROI, efficiency of resources
- Responsible for tracking and operating within labor and expense budgets
- Ensure strategies and project are executed in a timely manner and within expense guidelines
- Develop and promote Company branding in alignment with Company culture and values
- Oversee the maintenance and integrity of data in Sales and Marketing systems
- Lead the search and the implementation of innovative, effective, and efficient Sales and Marketing solutions
- Maintain professional knowledge up to date by participating in conferences and educational opportunities
- Perform other duties expected of the Director of Sales and Marketing position and assist in all other critical needs of the Company as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales and Marketing Management, preferably in hospitality
- Master of Science; in Marketing/Business Administration preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Marketing Automation Platforms, Social, Media Platforms, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, WordPress, and SEO
- Business and data analytical skills
- Practical knowledge of all facets of sales as well as knowledge in marketing and special events
- Due to the nature of the amusement park business, must be able to work a flexible schedule which may occasionally include weekends

· Salary range: $140k - $160k + commission
