Job Description

One of my top fashion clients in NYC is looking for a contract Product Development Coordinator for a 7 month contract starting mid to late January. Will be a hybrid role 3-4 times a week onsite, $30/hr, lots of exposure to fashion/product development for anyone looking to grow in or get into this industry in the Product Development space!


Primary Purpose

The Coordinator of Product Development supports the development process, encompassing sample management activities, achieving design aesthetic, quality standards, margin goals and timelines.


The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Product Development to…


Support product development activities including the following: review of prototypes and samples, milestone adherence, sending of development packages to overseas partners.

Partner with Materials teams to procure sampling materials for all development milestones.

Execute, maintain and update necessary data and tools in ecVision.

Manage day-to-day communication and activities with the Asia PD team.

Supports approval process and resolution of pending items to ensure smooth process from development to commercialization.

Execute day-to-day activities based on priorities set by Manager and drives task completion and issue resolution.

Demonstrate understanding of development process, implications when deadlines are missed, and alert manager of potential issues.


The accomplished individual will possess…


Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience in relevant field

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft 360, ECV or other PLM systems

Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills


An outstanding professional will have…


1 - 3 years of relevant experience in product development, including the categories of handbags and SLGs

Strong sense of teamwork and ability to multi-task

Flexibility to adapt as the business requires and to perform efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability

Experience working in a global company with overseas partners
