Chief Growth Officer

Position Summary:

The Chief Growth Officer will play a pivotal role in driving The Business News 's overall growth by developing strategic partnerships, expanding revenue streams, and providing valuable insight into the organization’s operational and strategic direction. This individual will work closely with the CEO to identify opportunities for innovation, strengthen the publication’s presence in the business community, and align growth initiatives with long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent The Business News’s brand and interest publicly in the communities of Wisconsin and do so authentically and in alignment with organizational principles and values.
• Strategic Direction : Collaborate with CEO to set and execute a strategic growth plan for The Business News , aligning with market trends and organizational goals.
• Revenue Generation : Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue through advertising sales, sponsorships, and other innovative streams.
• Partnership Development : Identify, build, and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, industry leaders, and community organizations to enhance visibility and opportunities for collaboration.
• Growth Opportunities : Research and analyze new markets, products, and services to identify potential areas for expansion and increased revenue.
• Client Engagement : Manage relationships with high-value clients and advertisers, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Collaboration : Work with editorial, marketing, and creative teams to align growth strategies with content and promotional efforts.
• Sales Lead : Lead the sales team in developing compelling proposals, presentations, and campaigns tailored to client needs and market demands.
• Industry Insight : Stay ahead of trends in regional business, media, and advertising to inform decision-making and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree not required, but appreciated.
• Proven experience in business development, strategic planning, or revenue generation roles.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building successful partnerships.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with the Wisconsin business landscape is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency with CRM tools, data analytics, and sales reporting systems.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
