The Orchards at Armada has an amazing opportunity for a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant . 10-15 hours a week . We are an in-house facility that focuses on patient needs. We provide our residents with all the therapy they need and deserve.

Responsibilities
n
n- Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner
n- Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises
n- Identify patient’s needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences
n- Recommend options, courses of action or modifications in selected treatments ensuring patient’s progress, safety and comfort
n- Apply the latest research related to restoring function, reducing symptoms frequency, and preventing injury
n- Complete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services
n- Perform selected data collection and obtain accurate information
n- Measure performance and report on patient’s medical record
n- Participate in patient status judgments
n- Adhere to ethical and legal standards
n- Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge

Skills
n
n- Proven working experience as physical therapist assistant
n- Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards
n- Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training and physical modalities
n- Ability to communicate and instruct effectively
n- Health care administration and documentation skills
n- License to practice or relevant certification

What you would be doing:

The Staff PTA performs patient care and patient related activities as directed by the Staff Physical Therapist.
n
What your work schedule would be:

Your work schedule will be determined based on your work status and case load by the Director of Rehab.

QUALIFICATIONS
n
EDUCATION/LICENSURE
n
n- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
n- Successful completion of certificate/state licensure process for PTA
n
