Job Description

Work for a multidisciplinary healthcare practice in Middlesex or Union County:
he Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy treatments to patients. The PTA helps patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit physical disabilities. The role involves implementing treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and assisting in patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in Patient Treatment: Administer physical therapy interventions such as exercises, massage, electrical stimulation, hot and cold packs, and ultrasound under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
* Monitor Patient Progress: Observe and record patients' responses to treatments, including noting any adverse reactions or improvements.
* Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on exercises, home care programs, and the use of mobility devices to ensure continuity of care outside of the clinical setting.
* Documentation: Accurately document patient treatments, progress notes, and any changes in the patient"s condition in the medical record.
* Collaboration: Work closely with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and modify treatment plans as necessary.
* Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all physical therapy equipment is clean, functional, and safe for use.
* Support Administrative Tasks: Assist in scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling other administrative tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
* Education: Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
* Licensure/Certification: Valid PTA license or certification in the state of employment.
* Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but not required.
* Skills:
