Unit Name: Operating Room – Surg Tech. Brief Unit Description: Level II Trauma; complex community setting. Patient Population: Pediatric, Adult & Geriatric. Bed Count: 15. Census: Approximately 30 - 40 patients per day. EMR (Charting System): EPIC. Floating Required: No. Rotating Shifts Required: Yes, approximately 2-3 shifts every 4 weeks. Weekend rotation working 7:00am-3:30pm and Call 3:00pm-11:30pm every 1 of 4 weeks - NO NIGHT CALL. Call Requirement: Surg Techs are expected to take Call weekends and weekday Eve Call. Job Requirements Minimum 1-2 years of OR experience. Surg Tech Certification is required. Schedule Information Shift: Days 7am-5:30pm, 1-2 rotations to weekend per 4 week schedule. 1-2 rotation to Eves 1p-11:30pm per 4 week cycle. 2-3 weekday calls per 4 week schedule. Additional Details A completed primary COVID-19 vaccination series that is approved by the FDA or the World Health Organization (WHO) OR an up-to-date COVID vaccine if a primary series was never received or completed is required. No exemptions or waivers (religious/medical) will be considered. Documentation of two measles vaccines, two mumps vaccine, and one rubella (German measles) vaccines or two MMR vaccines OR Proof of immunity via blood test (will show antibodies if immune to measles, mumps, and rubella).
