What Are We Looking For: currently seeking a Collections Specialist/Accounts Receivable member to join the team. To meet the needs of the department, the ideal candidate will be a motivated and organized individual, able to balance multiple simultaneous tasks and have fantastic communication skills. This position with be reporting to the Accounting Department and collaborating closely with Service Department. Responsibilities: Monitor the department’s accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts. Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments. Use credit bureau data, post office information, internet searches and other tools to try to locate customers who have moved or changed phone numbers. Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer. Maintain customer account: research/apply/adjust unapplied payments and customer credits. Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing. Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress. Work closely with Project Managers and Sales to ensure billing accuracy and assist with AIA billings and lien waivers when necessary. Process credit card payments. Apply cash receipts in Sage 300 Send customer statements. Assist with the implementation of a new Service software platform, BuildOps. Support the Accounting Team with other duties as needed. Qualifications: 3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or Collections Must have excellent Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel Excellent communication skills Must be able to maintain poise in stressful situations. Proven ability to work closely and efficiently with clients and co-workers in a professional, business environment. Local candidates only. No relocation benefits budgeted for this position.
