Purpose and Position Summary
In your role as SEO Specialist at Pace Creative, you will be instrumental in coordinating, monitoring, and delivering initiatives aimed at driving organic growth for multiple diverse client accounts. The purpose of this role is to offer a unique perspective, ask critical questions, and bridge the knowledge gap in SEO marketing and execution in order to deliver exceptional client experiences, drive increased profitability, and create strong client relationships.
What we expect from our SEO Specialist:
- Understand client goals and priorities and ensure they are met with the help of the Project Manager, Account Executive, and rest of the Pace Creative team.
- Collaborate with and support the planning and flawless execution of the digital marketing strategy, across the Strategy, Design, Development, and Project Management teams by:
- Managing a number of client accounts with a focus on delivering excellent client service, hitting key performance indicators, and communicating relevant results.
- Providing QA, testing, integration, and reporting on SEO projects.
- Taking the initiative to build the SEO roadmap with a list of projects, and budgeting and forecasting impact on customer acquisition/revenue.
- Filling knowledge gaps, particularly in project processes and for SEO projects through ongoing PM, Digital Ecosystems Manager, and Strategist support on projects.
- Remaining current with SEO best practices and building projects and workflows accordingly.
- Conducting keyword research, aggregating keywords by intent, and writing detailed content briefs.
- Track and report on key value metrics to drive optimization decisions.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and improve engagement and reach.
- Audit, research, coordinate and deliver client projects by practicing critical thinking, strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, formatting and coordinating the materials design.
- Innovating when learning and educating others with ever-changing best practices by:
- Researching new tools and best practices and how they work best for Pace Creative and the clients we serve.
- Taking on various SEO tasks that others do not have knowledge of, and supporting Pace Creative team members with reviewing and advising on standards and process documentation as they apply to Pace Creatives clients and projects.
- Educating other team members as needed to avoid confusion or mistakes.
- Providing client-focused support by:
- Attending client calls to understand their needs for further customization.
- Assisting with onboarding of new clients.
- Providing recommendations and executing strategies for SEO opportunities in accordance with client goals.
- Managing monthly client budgets to ensure that accounts are not under or overspent.
- Providing meaningful insights on trends and best practices that will help inform the content projects we take on.
- Supporting Operations and Account Executives by:
- Contributing to estimates, proposals and educational content.
- Identifying knowledge gaps in SEO.
- Supporting the creation of report templates that present relevant data to clients in ways that are accessible.
- Supporting the Strategist in the preparation and creation of client reports, activation plans, executive summaries, and digital marketing needs to ensure accuracy that meets the client’s needs.
- Working on various projects, such as planning for the quarter and priorities in terms of marketing initiatives.
Who You Are
As the ideal candidate, you have:
- A communications or business communications degree in data analytics, a marketing degree or 2-3 years of relevant demonstrated experience with launching, managing and optimizing SEO projects for mid-to-large websites with 30-40% bounce rate.
- 3 to 5 years of experience working in a fast-paced communications, marketing and/or professional services environment, or equivalent, undertaking strategic and tactical responsibilities.
- Expertise (3-5 years of experience) in:
- Google Search Console
- GA4
- Looker Studio
- SEMrush
- Emerging trends in the SEO world
- Very strong command of both written and spoken English.
- Experience working with WordPress.
- Inclusiveness and collaboration habits when working with the team.
- An ability to think critically by:

- Interpreting and integrating solutions as well as implementing solutions/changes to achieve the ultimate goal.
- Professional services and/or agency experience (an asset).

- Salary for this position is $51,000 to $83,000
- This is a hybrid working position.
