Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for an Integrity Project Manager to join their team on a 1-year contract in Calgary.
This individual specifically manages concurrent execution of projects related to Pipeline Integrity, mainly focused on pipeline in-line inspection projects. This role may also assist with projects related to pressure equipment, tank inspections, internal / external corrosion support, as well as discontinuation and abandonment of pipeline assets.
Responsibilities:
- Engage internal engineering resources to support project work (e. hydraulic analysis on pipeline assets)
- Provide code expertise on issues pertaining to pipeline operations and maintenance
- Provide technical support to the Management of Change process
- Manage project costs within budget, reforecast costs, and provide variance analysis as necessary
- Ensure all spending is in accordance with established authorities
- Optimizing project budgets to support corporate strategies and initiatives
- Ensure all expenditures and commitments are following SAM authorizations and the AFE process

- Execute pipeline integrity projects to assess and mitigate threats to pipeline integrity.
- Execute pipeline integrity projects following established project management processes and project specifications
- Strive to identify new and innovative ways to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of IPL’s pipeline integrity program
- Work closely with Project Engineers, Drafting, engineering service provider (ESP) and other stakeholders (e.g. Operations, Schedulers, Oil Movements, Quality) to develop project schedule and regularly communicate project status updates
- Ensuring alignment with Commercial Operations drivers and scope requirements
- Inform Field Operations, Pipeline Control Centre, Operations Management, Business Development, Oil Movements, and groups as required to ensure project activities are communicated effectively.
- Interface with Land, Regulatory and Environmental teams to obtain required permissions to execute projects
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- 3-10 years of industry experience
- Possesses a sound understanding of the operation and maintenance of pipelines, preferably in Integrity In-Line Inspection and Integrity Dig projects
- Demonstrated ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams
- A technical diploma or engineering degree (e.g. civil, chemical, metallurgical, mechanical, or electrical).
